The BOP WorX Standard

Six gates. Zero shortcuts.

Every technician mobilised by BOP WorX has passed the same six-stage standard. It exists so that when you ask for BoP, that is exactly what steps on the vessel.

01

Technician Vetting

Every CV is reviewed by someone who has done the job offshore. References checked, gaps interrogated, claims validated. No box-ticking.
02

Training Verification

All core offshore training verified at source before mobilisation.

Mandatory:

  • Full 5 GWO — Working at Heights, Sea Survival, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, First Aid (or Enhanced First Aid)
  • ActSafe winch training
  • Avanti / Hailo ladder repair and inspection
  • MSA Latchway repair and inspection
  • BTT — mechanical, electrical, hydraulic
  • Anchor point inspection / certification
  • Slinger / banksman / rigging & lifting

Beneficial (not mandatory):

  • IRATA rope access
  • Coating or painting qualifications
  • Siemens / Vestas / GE trainings, etc.
  • Any site-specific training verified at source before mobilisation
03

Competency Assessment

Assessed against the actual scope — transition pieces, secondary steel, boat landings, latchways, ActSafe. Not against a generic job title.
04

Quality Assurance

We build long-term relationships with technicians who consistently deliver. Client feedback, project reviews and continuous assessment help us maintain a workforce trusted across the offshore wind industry.
05

Mobilisation Process

Rapid, documented and audit-ready. Certifications, PPE, travel and site paperwork managed end-to-end so the technician arrives ready to work.
06

Project Documentation

Every mobilisation can be supported with task-specific BOP WorX RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements), developed from real offshore BoP experience. Documentation can be reviewed and adapted to meet individual project requirements before mobilisation, allowing seamless integration with the client's HSE procedures and site approval process.

Safety & Training

Rigorous training. Regular rescue drills. The highest safety standards.

Every BOP WorX technician undergoes comprehensive safety and evacuation training. Rescue drills are practised regularly so that when an emergency arises, the response is instinctive, precise and effective. We do not compromise on safety — it is built into every mobilisation.
